He also wants to rekindle his relationship with Roni, now that he and Liam are good with each other, and he is making friends with all of the MC members & their families. But half the battle is convincing Roni to take the chance on him. But she is worried about secrets that lie in the past, and the possible effect that it could have on their future.This book is more than just about Roni and Rooster rekindling their romance. There is a story line with Drew, Liam & Denise’s twin son; that intertwines with Rooster. There is also a side with Tyler & Meredith that will also be a topic in the next book. I’m not sure if the 7th book will be the final book & wrap up the story or if it will focus on a romance between 2 people.
review 2: This one didn't hold my interest as much as the first two books in the series. If you follow the series you met Rooster and Roni in the first book as well as the subsequent books. Rooster has been transformed from the skinny, red headed sheriff's deputy who was basically an ass into a hot, alpha strong guy who's sexy as hell. He and Roni had a relationship 17 years ago and this is their chance to get back together. The couple, of course, goes back to the counselor Doc Jones, to share the deepest darkest secrets of what kept them apart. We get drama when Drew, Liam's step son, gets involved with steroids in the high school. We see Meredith getting possession of a baby girl who they are adopting and which IMO will lead to Meredith finally getting pregnant in the next book. An ok read but it is one I won't read again. Seems like the books have become repetitious to me with nothing that grabs me and makes me want to soak in every word. less
