review 1: Larissa Ione is a very talented author and she certainty didn't disappoint with this story. Azagoth fits fight into her Demonica world. He's a sexy badass and the Grim Reaper to boot. I loved his character! He has an ice cold exterior but deep inside there is some warmth. I enjoyed his struggles and his past that made the story come alive. I certainly wouldn't mind getting stuck in his realm ;) Lilliana is not your perfect little angel. She's a bit of a rebel which made her character fun to read. She turned out to be the perfect heroine to Azagoth. Their barter and personalities were enjoyable to read. The plot didn't disappoint in the least either. For a short story it was beautifully written and didn't seem at all rushed. The characters were beautifully developed and the ... morestory was completed. A fantastic paranormal romance for fan and even for first time readers. You don't have to be familiar with the series to enjoy the book.
review 2: I liked it, as I have all of Ione's books. I didn't LOVE it though because it was so predictable and perfect. I liked the Grim Reaper as the badass he was, but of course, he had to soften up. I suppose that's generally what readers in this genre want and expect. That just kind of bores me.ETA: I like how Ione crossed the LOD and Demonica series--two of my favorites--together in this novella. less

The only thing I didn't like about it was it ended too abruptly.
