review 1: And Larissa Ione does it again! I absolutely LOVED Ares. Like seriously loved him. He was hot, intense and just an awesome hero. After finishing the Demonica series and loving it so much I was a little afraid I was going to be disappointed when reading this one. However it was quite the opposite and I loved this book more than all the others in the series! It was full of action, sweet words, passion and twists. I loved Cara as a heroine, much more than I expected, and Ares even more. Did I mention how HOT Ares was? I also love the imagination Ione used in this book and can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series. This book was an AMAZING read and is one everyone should give a try.
review 2: I have been looking for a series to pull me out of the Black
... more Dagger Brotherhood slump I've been in since finishing Lover At Last. Nothing I read since then has done anything for me. I was beginning to think that J.R. Ward had broken me, but from the moment I started reading this book, I was hooked. It is a bit lengthy so it took me longer than I'd like to admit to finish it while juggling 2 children & housework. BUT. The important thing is, I'm fixed! I have learned to love again & this series is the object of my affection!!!! Thank you Larissa Ione!! P.S. I've already picked up & begun reading Immortal Rider. UH-mazing. less

I really enjoyed this book. It is a spinoff of the Demonica series. We start with Ares the second Horseman of the Apocalypse. The story goes through him trying to keep his seal from breaking and him falling in love with a human female who is his seal now. We learn how Ares grew up and why he became on of the horseman. Ares meets Cara whose's human, but has specially powers and she learns how to use them as the books goes on.

I love Larissa's Demonica books, and I just loved this one as well! Ares is sexy and powerful! Cara is head strong and awesome! I couldn't put the book down for ever a second! It was simply amazing! You really got dragged into the book, and it definitely doesn't disappoint on the hot scenes. If you haven't read it yet, or weren't sure about reading it, READ IT! Read it NOW! It will be a book you will never regret.
