review 1: Until I read this book, I didn't realise how many times I've been the object of sexism. Although not as bad as some of the tales recorded, every little remark or poor taste joke I've experienced or witnessed has been part of a long line of objectification and suppression of the 'weaker sex'. Bates' online project is doing an amazing job of raising awareness and highlighting how far we still have to go for equality. I give this book 5 stars because of the way it handles the subject matter and because equality for both sexes is something to strive for.
