review 1: I really liked this book.I thought the author's voice was perfect.And the premise was really compelling.I devoured the first half.But the second half was a disappointment.The secondary characters were dificult to relate to.And it seemed very rushed.All of a sudden the war was on and everything was tidied up in a neat little feel good ending.I thought the chapters that took place in the past were far more interesting than what was happening with the resistance.
review 2: I really enjoyed Veracity and the meaning of the title. The way time was set didn't bother me much. The main character I thought was a little too serious sometimes, but that makes sense for the story. The sentients were very interesting, and the government doomed to fail. I found myself wonderin... moreg how the country could become completely isolated if there was no pandemic. Other than that it was a great mix of ideas and a reminder of how valuable language is. less
