review 1: I loved the concept that this book can be used for kids that are being bullied today. It makes it easier for them to understand and accept when it is put in a fantasy world context such as Harry Potter. At first I thought a lot of the insults were very abrupt but then again children need to be able to stand up for themselves. I loved that on one of the pages it mentioned not to snitch on other kids because it can lead to retaliation but instead it suggested saying something back and standing up for themselves. I really appreciated this especially because bullying is becoming more and more prevalent now a days.
review 2: This book truly is a must for any Harry Potter fans....so much so that I'm waiting for it in paperback (please) so I can buy it as a gift for v... morearious family members. Harry Potter Insults Handbook is ideal if, like me, you find it hard to sit down for one long sitting. I don't get a lot of time to read, but this little handbook is perfect for a quick Harry Potter pick-me-up. There are some awesome insults and you're drawn back into the magical wizarding world immediately. I'm still waiting for my Hogwarts letter, but when it comes I'm not well armed with plenty of Slytherin insults! :) less
