review 1: I bought this book because of it's price. I've heard bad things about the cheaply priced ebooks, but this one was worth the money I paid for it and more. I liked both the lead characters. The way they met had me laughing, but I truly believed that they had come to love each other. I have another book by this author on my Nook and I think that will be up next. I also would love to try out the Victorian novels mentioned at the end of the book. I've been looking for more books set in that era.
review 2: A pretty predictable Victorian romance novel. He marries her for her dowry when his father cuts him out of his inheritance and she has to marry within two weeks in order to claim her trust fund. He's a notorious womanizer, but she insists on a pledge of fidelity as... more a condition of their marriage or he will have to give up everything. An ever deepening love and sparks fly between the two of them, while a plot is carried out to break them apart. I'll give you one guess how it ends. less
