review 1: Loved the style of this graphic novel -- black-and-white, bold lines, interesting use of the page. Students may need support understanding the unique use of storytelling when they come to scenes where the typical "frames" are not used. Those were some of my favorite pages, though. The barrier that I usually feel when reading graphic novels melted away as I read this one. I loved the message of creativity. This would work well in our Masks unit.
review 2: Has a total of three Doctor Who references that I could find. Also, you know, it's a pretty good graphic novel. I love the author's art a lot (as well as the art in Page by Paige, which is a really friggin good book okay read it now.) I liked how the author used the shadows and the darkness forming into images
... morethat convey Will's feelings and fears for the reader to interpret, instead of just saying it. In the end, I think the book is about confronting your fears. I would recommend it to middle school and up. less

This graphic novel is a cute and creative story. Nothing stuck out as outstanding, but I enjoyed it.
