review 1: Yum... Reid is the typical man every woman wants. He flirts with most but won't lead them on, the lucky ones know that its only for a roll in the hay. There is only one woman he avoids like the plague and that's because she seems to hate his guts. Mia can't stand Reid he hurt her once a long time ago and she can't get over it. She also can't stand that she's like every other woman in Silver Creek super attracted to him.This book was so good, I enjoyed his brother's book first but both could be read as stand alone books. I love Reid's family dynamic and how Mia's family dynamic is not as good. I love how they fight the attraction and the author's insight into what each character is feeling. Bruno was one of my favorite parts of this book. I won't give anything away ... moreon who he is. This author either has seriously invested a lot of research into farming of animals and vineyards or grew up on one. I'm so happy she took the time to find out what is feasible and what is not.
review 2: I have a confession...I'm kind of dumb. I received a copy of Once Tasted this summer. At the time, I had a bunch of books already que'd up and this went into the 'to be read later' pile. All of you know what I'm talking about, the stack of books on your shelf or bedside table or next to your favorite chair, that you never seem to have enough time to get to. Boy am I glad that I looked over and picked this up! An excellently written tale of an insecure young woman & the man she's been in love with all her life.This story has beautiful scenery...the descriptions of the ranch & vineyard are nice too. When Mia's uncle springs the news that he's fallen in love and is moving to France, she is understandably shaken. When Uncle Thomas further informs her that she will have to work with Reid, the boy she's loved since height school, her world it turned upside down. Since her cousin spilled her secret fantasy, about Reid falling in love with her, to the entire male population of their high school, Mia has stubbornly ignored Reid. Things between Reid & Mia quickly heat up, but Mia's cousin, Jay, isn't done interfering in her life or tormenting Mia. I was so wrong to put this books off! I'm kicking myself and desperately want to know what happens next in this series. Don't follow in my footsteps...pick this book up and start reading today! less
