review 1: I've never been to Ireland, but this book makes we want to go there and see it for myself, thanks to the amazing descriptions of the cliffs and countryside. The Silver Tattoo is a whirlwind ride that left me wondering what was around the corner for main character, Leah. The way the author weaved Leah's fate with an old Irish legend added a bit of magic to the book that kept me wondering how this story would end. I'll be looking for more books by this author. She's a truly gifted and talented writer.

But be warned - if you've ever longed to see the Emerald Isle this book will make staying home in your chair almost... more unbearable. She captures the mystical and misty sense of the island, drawing you in even while creeping you out just a touch. This is a book to linger in. I found myself rereading several passages just to enjoy the rhythm and imagery. It's clear that Bentley is a poet as well as a story teller. less
