review 1: So, for a quick recap. I randomly found book 2 of this series, thinking it was book 1, and met Emily, the girl with the irresponsible mother who encourages teenage drinking for the sake of popularity. Then I read book 1, thinking it was book 2, and learned about some other, who was so insignificant that I forgot her name, who hated her friends and hooked up with some random forgettable man. Then, I read book 3, which was actually book 3, and met Gabriella, who ended up having a random drunk man confess her love to her ex-boyfriend. Well, I think book 4 is the last one, so I figured I may as well go ahead and read it since I already put myself through the other 3 books.Okay, the other 3 books were totally missable, but I think I'm going to recommend that you go ahead an... mored read them so that you can go ahead and enjoy this fourth one, KISSING PERFECT, which is hands down my favorite -- mostly because everyone's so random that it's actually kind of funny. These kids, Brynn and Josh, don't actually end up sulking around at Emily's party -- and nobody whines that mommy and daddy didn't love them enough, contributing to their inability to find meaningful teenage love (see books 1-3 for more of this). Instead, Brynn opens up this story by admitting she's in the process of stealing her ex-boyfriend's bike. She then ropes Josh into taking her to Home Depot so she can buy a chainsaw. Afterwards they go to McDonald's to celebrate their almost-victory as partners in crime. After the other 3 books, it was just cute, funny, and random. Thank goodness. As a whole would I recommend the series? Probably not, unless you're in your early teens and you don't mind a repetitive "love story" that really only revolves around one semi-unexciting party with a bunch of girls who don't like each other and who are all pretty desperate for boyfriends. That said, KISSING PERFECT was worth the hassle of the other books, so I'm rounding up and ending this installment with 4 stars! Hooray!
review 2: "Kiss Perfect" is a forth book but it's the second book of At the Party Series that I read. The story's beautiful like the first book although it's way to short. It makes me wonder what'll happen next (maybe Lauren Barnholdt'd write another series like After the Party). The story's different from the first book. This book's like the love at first sight. The plot's so sweet. It makes me feel like I want to go to the party right away. The characters're interested and a little bit crazy; I like them.Overall, "Kissing Perfect" is good and fun. Unfortunately, it's too shot. My feeling doesn't end with the book; I have a question in my mind...how long it'll last. So sequel of this book please. less
