review 1: I read Lauren Kate for the first time. It was really a fast-pace book. One will float in a gush of emotions of fear,sadness,suspense and love while reading this. Now a little talk on what was in this story. The story opens with the feelings of sadness because Ander was going to leave everything he had once loved as it was the ritual of the family. He has to forget his dog, Shiloh, his love, childhood photographs and every other thing he has once never thought of leaving. His passions have to die because he has to cross the passage to live forever. While transforming into his ever-living phase he feels blessed to remember glimpses from his childhood. The most loving thing was when he remembers Eureka's laugh at the restaurant and scans his mind to find the reason for it. H... moree thought may be she was laughing because it was the last time he would ever love her.His soul-snatching words, 'LOVE DRAINS LIFE' are the soul of this book. When he has come back to his ever living form, his family opens secrets before him which he do not understand very clearly. They advice him to let go off everything he has loved only then he can live forever.At the end, the poor aunts and aunties were going to enter emptiness into his chest. Ugh..
review 2: I had already read Teardrop when I picked this one to read. This novella has three chapters. The first gives you Ander's story giving some background to the Seedbearers, their origins and their task. The second is a chapter from Teardrop that gives you an insight into Eureka's personality and the third is also a chapter from Teardrop - their meeting. It was worth the money to know more about Ander, but the two additional chapters could have also been something new or different from the novel. Still very much worth the read. Looking forward to the next part of the story. less
