review 1: This book started a bit confusing. As I was reading, I thought I had started with book two because there were so many terms and facts introduced rather quickly. But after the first few pages (Kindle pages, mind you) the book really piqued my interest. Our hero was charming and had a lot to offer from the beginning. Our heroine was a damsel in distress but the author gave me a solid reason as to why, not just a pathetic, silly one. Romantic story with just a little of spice. I only wish it was longer because so much remained unexplored from second characters and from the worlds our main H/h are from. But I will definitely recommend and will continue reading the series.
review 2: Not your average paranormal read here for sure. If you enjoy reading about hot warri... moreors and in this one Rickert who is a assassin who is also a leader of warriors who main goal is to kill soldiers from a rival army until he meets one soldier he can not seem to kill. She is a Talent and she has aligned it would seem with the wrong ones-Neyla though thank goodness can not be killed. Enjoyable reading entering into another realm encountering the unusual in a way packed with adventure and danger and the piece important of all romance, hot romance. Once she enters his world she has no one but desires someone as he desires her. Yum Yum do they ever and could she have been once one of them is also a question that surely will be answered in another book in this series to come I hope. Her other books are enjoyable but so is this one first in this series because it is alittle different and it ended too soon left wanting more. If that is what the author hopes to achieve it is a success. less
