review 1: What is it that makes us delight in bears as characters in picture books, or stories, too? They are well loved, and this book is a good example of it. A book is left in the woods, and different animals discover it, but believe it’s a “wonderful” thing for their own uses, like a table for mice, a cover for a weary fox, and a hat (as you can see on the cover) for a silly bear. I know there will be giggles when this book is read aloud. It’s for young children!
review 2: This is a really creative story about a group of animals who find a book. As their story progresses, each animal is sure they know what to do with a book, but all of them have ridiculous suggestions as to what a book is meant for. It really is a cute book about what books are meant for and ... morewould be a great addition to a library for the purpose of asking questions while reading to children. It would be a really fun, interactive story. Good book! less
