review 1: Nomansland was interesting to read because it was others in the future discovering the world we live in now. These girls are made to believe things that aren't true. They think their leader is odd. She wears a skirt and rides her horse sideways. But they don't know how cruel she is. She sells the girls who don't follow rules to the men and women who live miles away. Near the end, the main character is told that she would be better off living in the other land because war is about to break out in their land. She moves. Although I felt that the ending is a little rushed, overall, it is a very original and interesting story.
review 2: I am a big reader of YA dystopian lit. No this book is NOT the hunger games. But there are a lot of similar themes running through
... moreit. 1. A government who lies to keep the populous in check, 2. a strong female character who realizes that what she was taught to believe is actually wrong. 3. The futuristic backwardness that appears in the Hunger Games. 4. A villain who has a substance addiction and is power hungry. I thought it was good. But if you expecting a rein of HG, this is not it. Stop comparing books to each other. Books are as different at the people who write them. less
