review 1: This book is about an interracial couple and there struggle to be together. I think the Author did a wonderful job with the development of the characters and the story line was strong enough to keep you wanting more. Really felt bad for the amount of abuse Stephen and his mother had to endure because of the love he shared with Ruthie. There's a surprising ending that I am still trying to get pass. Over all it was a good read. Only gave it three stars because I felt like the Author dragged it out a bit towards the end, especially when she revealed the surprising ending.
review 2: It begins like an easy weekend read, predictable yet engrossing. Then 90 % on and I am on the edge of my chair. Then I laughed at the very ‘tail twisting’ epilogue. I don’t know
... morewhere I got that phrase but that's the image that comes up while I sat there grinning at the end of the book. There are issues on the book that, in the past, made me put a book down instantly. However, by the time the issue arise, there is a bigger mystery that caught my attention. less

Page turning heartfelt love story without sappy romance. Amazing ending--twice

This is a good book and author but she doesn't vary much in her stories.
