A Lucy Stone Mystery
review 1: Sometimes for me, a book can be like creamed corn: I get it for no reason except that I see it on the shelf and want something to chew on. this book is like that, and also like creamed corn, it's cloyingly sweet with not much substance. This book is bland, but in an almost comforting kind of way. That said, what kind of mystery book has the sleuth looking for clues without giving any hints for a keen reader to catch? The killer just kind of appeared in the last bit and then confessed to everything. Snoozeville.
review 2: This is the 18th book in the Lucy Stone mystery collection. Lucy Stone is a reporter for the local newspaper and two people that she knows were murdered in this town. A local fisherman winds up drowned and the manager of the upscale chocolate
... more store Chanticleer's Chocolates Tamzin Graves winds up dead. Lucy was assigned to write a story about the chocolate store and the owner, Trey Meacham. Are these two murders connected? At first the police don't think so. Due to Lucy's good reporting she finds out more than she needs and gets herself in over her head. I knew there were other mystery' s by Leslie Meier that included the lovable Lucy Stone but did not know until I read it that this was the18th book until I came here to write my review. Such a cute who did it book based around Valentine's Day. I hope you fall in love with Lucy Stone as much as I have. less
