review 1: I just knew as soon as I started reading this book that I was going to love it!! ... Which makes me wonder about the minority of ratings that gave a 1,2 or even 3 star rating? :o ... They must love other genres totally different than this awesome contemporary romantic drama & shouldn't even be allowed to rate this masterful story :o ... So please, don't let their poor judgement affect you (as I rarely ever look at reviews or ratings before I read a book :)... I promise this is a 5 star must read that will really make you think about life, family & relationships and leave you craving more from this talented author!!
review 2: I need to start out by saying that I did enjoy this story, and became quite attached to the characters. The main character, Lucy, was defi... morenitely interesting. But now I have to say, in my opinion the style of writing was terrible! I don't mean to be mean, and maybe this is just me (the book I read prior to this was one of the best I have read in recent years, which probably didn't help), but I really thought it read like a child had written it. Things were described in detail which most authors would usually take as implicit, to the extent that it made me cringe a little and I definitely struggled to get into the story because of it. But I'm glad I finished it. It was good, but I won't be rushing out to buy a non-electronic version for my bookshelf. less
