review 1: Not a bad read, but about five chapters too long. Another disappointing aspect (and perhaps why it seemed long) is that the characters are not particularly likable. I didn't find myself identifying with, sympathizing with, or even liking any of them. And the story line is trite/predictable. Definitely no surprises here.An easy read for the beach or a long weekend, though I'm sure there are far better "summer" reads out there.
review 2: Very few people actually get to keep their friends their whole life and still keep in touch often. Most move, have families and lose touch.These four have managed to live their lives and still be the best of friends. They make you fall in love with all of them.
