review 1: Enjoyed the book, Emma had a secret that left me wandering the whole time. She was attracted to Guy but it seemed her being married was the only thing keeping her from him. Guy was very mindful of this but still his emotions kept eating at him. Lia left me wanting a bit more background of the relationship among characters. I do admit I enjoyed the read, and wondered if there will be a second book. All in all a good read. Besides I love books with a nerdy kind of guy as the lead.
review 2: I read A Hint of Murder and Vigil Annie by Lia Fairchild and thought they were both fantastic, so I shrugged my shoulders and said, "who cares if this one's not my preferred genre. It's by an author whose other work I like, so I'm going to try it." I'm glad I did. The characte
... morerization was so good I found myself caring about the characters, and that's pretty much all I need to enjoy a book. I liked the characters and the insight into their personalities. I loved the humor. And Fairchild didn't let me down by including some mystery and intrigue as well. This is a light read that will make you smile and laugh, will remind you of yourself or people you know, will have you rooting for romance and wondering about how you feel, and will lead you to a satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed it whether I was supposed to or not, and I'll continue to read books by this terrific author. less
