review 1: Finally, I’m done. There’s not a whole lot to say about this… thing. I honestly can’t call this a book, because that would be demeaning towards other authors that do know the art of writing. You can’t just simply throw a bunch of random stuff into endless pages, and by the way, the number of pages does not a story make, and consider it legitimate for printing and ultimately, distribution to an audience. I doubt this was even skimmed, let alone read before going to print. So what, a story is downloaded by a lot of people, and that makes it a book?! I can’t help to think that nowadays they publish according to popularity and not value. To hell with value. Who cares if it’s a book about a silly girl falling in love with a 12 year-old ghost? Yeah, I was never a g... moreood student at math, but even I know how to do a simple account. If you failed to notice that crucial mistake right at the beginning of the book, no wonder the rest of it is just terrible. And what’s with the overused exclamation points!!! And the perfect guys (is there a single guy she hasn’t described as being a god?), and the annoying amount of fangirling, teenage drama, and overall silliness?!Urgh, waste ot time.
review 2: I'm warning you, this was a strange one.My Thoughts: This was once a Wattpad book. I used to live off of Wattpad: it was my life-force. I wouldn't eat or sleep or do much of anything if I could read on Wattpad. I would stay up all night on school nights and then be dead in class the next day. Of course, Wattpad was worth it. I literally had to delete the app to stop. Therefore reading this book brought back some memories. The Plot: So this girl meets a boy at the graveyard and the boy turns out to be something other than what she thought he would be and then things happen. There really is no other way to say this without spoilers. There is also a lot of time at a boarding school (how convenient). The Writing Style: Very juvenile. There were often times when the author obviously got lazy and didn't give us information ahead of time. She would cram it in. It felt like someone was telling me a story but they were skipping information until the moment it was needed. The Characters: Apparently Joey is quite gorgeous even though she wears baggy clothes and doesn't care about her appearance. (Sound familiar?) Mom is out of the picture most of the time (how convenient) and she doesn't freak out like a typical mom would, she is cool like every book mom.Tristan is the typical fictional boy. Gorgeous, sweet, probably secretly British. The other characters were also all gorgeous. In fact, everyone in this book was gorgeous. Not a single ugly person anywhere.Overall: The whole book was so damn convenient! It was hilarious. But for some reason it wasn't as bad as that usually is. Because it's a Wattpad book, I was kind of expecting this and I enjoyed it far more than I would any other book with the same style.I choose not to rate this book. I have no idea what my rating would be. Too many mixed feelings. The Lost Boys lost me.See this review and others at orangeowlsandbooks.blogspot.com less
