review 1: This is a favourite with my boys. They love reading about how mouse gets madder and madder, and about how his friends are trying to help him, but it's not exactly working. The form repetition and word repetition really helps my beginning reader, and both he and his bigger brother enjoy Mouse's unfortunate mud puddle incidents. There are some good opportunities to reinforce speech therapy here, especially with terminal consonants ('s' and 'd', among others).
review 2: We read this book with our emotionally spirited daughter recently and are happy with the take-away she got from it. Mouse starts off just a little mad and progresses to different degrees of mad through the book. With each action another animal joins in to show him "how" to do it correctly. The e... morending is a cute twist about how each of us are good at our own things. Just because others may be better at something, there is always something we have of our own to be best at. less
