review 1: This is a favourite with my boys. They love reading about how mouse gets madder and madder, and about how his friends are trying to help him, but it's not exactly working. The form repetition and word repetition really helps my beginning reader, and both he and his bigger brother enjoy Mouse's unfortunate mud puddle incidents. There are some good opportunities to reinforce speech therapy here, especially with terminal consonants ('s' and 'd', among others).
review 2: We read this book with our emotionally spirited daughter recently and are happy with the take-away she got from it. Love the ending that reveals a brilliant, useful way for us all to cope with being mad.
Mouse is mad, but he learns to handle it in his own way.
I didn't care for the story or the message of this book.
Fun turn around in the end.
