review 1: -Spoilers warning-I seem to always love the secondary characters more than the main ones. Though I did like Lane and Derek, I just adored Brin and Ferg. Especially Brin. He is very relatable and his struggles are something we all go through at some point in our lives so it was easier to understand where he was coming from. And it was just really nice to see Lane and Derek from anyone else's point of view but Lane's or Derek's. Especially Brin's. Plus him and Ferg have one hot and caring relationship. We were given a little glimpse of it but now I wished there was more. And the fact that it was short and an easy read definitely increased its rating for me. It was both cute and slightly angsty at the same time. But not too much. After the first two books, especially the firs... moret one in the series, this was like a breath of fresh air.I wonder if there is going to be a third book in the series? Doesn't seem like the second one had a definite ending. Perhaps even another short novella with Brin and Ferg, though I would really appreciate a novella with Christie and Paul and Mr Zimmerman because there is never enough of them either.Thanks for reading.
review 2: I just love Lane. Seriously, how can you not love him?? Technically, this wasn't even about him. But he was in it, and he was just as shy and adorable as ever.I wasn't a big fan of Brin at first, but he really grew on me. His delivery is a little rough around the edges (and that's putting it mildly), but his heart is in the right place. Plus, he has some great one-liners. Above all, he is a perfect compliment to help Laney (as Brin calls him) get out of his shell. I really loved everything about this series (except the fact that it was only three books LOL). less
