review 1: So many characters. Too many tidy happy endings for most of the characters in the book. It was a collaboration between three authors, with each writing a section of the book. I'd never read two of the authors but have read the other, and I thought her portion was the strongest of the novel. However, each author basically tackled one set of characters, focusing their portion primarily on those specific characters and advancing the storyline in the background. However, in the other authors' portions, those characters that the other authors wrote about are marginal and only mentioned in the background. Never read a book broken up like this and not sure I would again.
review 2: i'd really like to give this book 31/2 stars. This is a good mystery book about a rich ... morefamily in a small town who most people seem to like. Except the other rich family. All the children are now adults and back in town for their fathers wedding and fires and murders are taking place all over their property. It has love stories, mysteries and family secrets. It comes together nicely at the end. I wish it was less predictable and a little more shocking. less
