Inside Out
review 1: Well, here we are at the end of Being Me, and the central mystery of Rebecca has been wrapped up quickly and a little anticlimactically, leaving a new mystery - what the hell is that third book going to be about? Like If I Were You, this is a bit of a candy bar book, but a surprisingly fun one again. Don't get me wrong, I do have a few complaints (primarily the constant portrayal of any kind of BDSM play as specifically being a world for mentally incapable individuals - doms who can't love or are haunted by all kinds of (always the same thing, too) "demons" and submissives who are either not fit for it, or full of self-hatred and insecurity. There are a few surprises along the way, and it's hard not to root for Sara and Chris as you go. All in all a fun, easy series with s... moreome solid plot points. I'm pretty glad I picked up Revealing Us before leaving for vacation, even if I have my doubts about what's up next.
review 2: If you read my review of If I Were You then you know I loved that book so much that I immediately bought not only Being Me but also Revealing Us. For the most part Being Me certainly did not disappoint. In If I Were You I was pretty sure Rebecca was dead but honestly couldn't figure out who the culprit was. Normally these types of mysteries are pretty straight forward and I can guess about half way through the book. Here I wasn't sure. Was it Chris? Was it Mark? Was it someone else? So I loved getting to know Chris and what dark secret he hid and I had to admit I fell for him. Yes, he has issues and yes he is controlling and yet he manages to come across as loving and trying to give Sarah her freedom and still sexily in control. Sarah also manages to still come across as a strong woman and not a doormat (though there were some times I questioned her common sense.). And most surprising to me was Mark. I couldn't stand him in the first book because he just came off as a controlling ass but I admit by the end of this one I actually started to like him as well. The story itself was as gripping as the first book and this one was a read in one sitting book as well. The only reason I dinged it one start instead of giving it 5 stars was I found the ending a little too out of the blue for my tastes. I don't want to say more and ruin the story so I will leave it at that. It was awesome enough that if I didn't have to get some work done and actually need sleep after staying up all night two days in a row to read the first two you could be sure I would be devouring Revealing Us. less

This author is the queen of cliffhangers! I have been buying book after book because I have to know what happens next. I cannot get enough of sara and Chris and even mark. I thought there might be a little more reveal in what happened to Rebecca, I mean I read 2 whole books with suspense leading up to what happened, only to have one sentence sum it up and to be moved on. Other than that, the whole book was amazing. I hope there is still some mystery in the next book that I have to come to love from this author. If not, I'll take a whole lotta Chris merit ;) I do hope mark finds his happiness too.

And the story keeps getting better! Sara and Chris and Mark...oh my! What hidden secrets, untold truths, inuendos, and assumptions can do to relationships. Dang if I couldn't read this fast enough! My only "wish" is I REALLY want access to what's going on in Chris's head. I know there is a novella with his perspective, but I want it NOW - that man - sweet Lord! Another BIG sports night in KC, so the excitement of the Royals's game slowed me a bit but still a 3ish hour read and started the 3rd book!
