review 1: What an absolutely delightful read! So many times I found myself laughing out loud! Hooray for Henna. Sometimes we all need to admit we're our own worst enemy and get the heck out of our way to happiness! I enjoyed the whole "telenovella" atmosphere (which the Italian me experiences regularly, married as I am to an Hispanic) and the interpersonal relationships in Henna's family. This is a wonderful book! Treat yourself!
review 2: 3-3.5 starsThis was a good story. It's the first book I've read by this author and based on this I may try another of her works.Henna is a Dr and on her way to Bermuda for her little sister's wedding. On the way there she meets an intense stranger she finds very attractive. She's usually very uptight and plans everything but she decide
... mores to throw caution to the wind and have some fun. She doesn't realize just who she's met.Eduardo is traveling for his son's wedding. He's a widower and the owner of a coffee farm in Columbia. When he meets a beautiful woman while waiting for his plane he gets the wrong idea about her but also doesn't care and wants to know her better. When she shows up on his flight, Eduardo knows destiny is playing a hand in things.Henna and Eduardo engage in some hot sex in the plane, the limo to the hotel and then the hotel again...then they realize how they're connected. Surprisingly, Henna is still willing to continue to see Eduardo but they decide to attempt to keep things quite and let people think they've hit it off. Although things between Henna and Eduardo go well (with loads of sex at every turn), there are multiple issues that arise when family and friends (and Eduardo's jealous ex) get thrown in to the mix. Things are a bit rough but at the end of the wedding, Eduardo and Henna are still together. They work things out so they have their HEA and I liked that in the end Henna made the effort do what was needed to make Eduardo happy (and getting out of the way of her own happiness while she was at it).Overall I enjoyed this story. I really liked Eduardo and Henna had her issues but I liked her. I'm not sure why this didn't end with a better rating for me...maybe it was a bit too predictable? Regardless, I still liked the story. :D less
