review 1: I really enjoyed the story of Abby and Grey. I thought it was sweet and nice change of pace. It was refreshing to read about a 37 year old woman and a 45 year old man for a change. Their courtship felt real, believable, and engaging. I did struggle with the fact that Abby's 15 year old daughter had feelings for Grey, and Abby's attitude about the whole thing too laid back for my taste. Not to mention the impropriety of a15 year old lusting after a 45 year old man...and Abby's willingness to entrust her 15 year old daughter to be left alone with a 16 year old boy at all times too naive and unrealistic. perhaps it seemed okay because this book was leaning toward the Christian side? Idk. However, once I got past the 70% mark - and suspended my imagination when it came to Kim... more's feelings and how Abby handled it -- I couldn't put the book down. This is my first lizbeth Selvig book; I really enjoyed her writing style, and look forward to reading her other books as well.
review 2: This was the first I had read this author and I loved her story. It centers on Abby, a mom, who has a failing ranch and she hires Dawson a young man to help her out. Her daughter Kim and Dawson are friends and when he traveled there, Abby hired him thinking it was okay. Little did she know he ran away from school and is only 16. She finds this out when his rock star dad, Gray, comes searching for his son. Abby is drawn to Gray from the start and sees he has problems communicating with his teenage son. There is a lot of things that go on in this story. Gray takes Dawson on the road and he runs back to Abby. His mother gets involved and the feelings between Gray and Abby grow. Abby is struggling to keep her farm and doesn't want Gray to know how bad it is. You'll love this book. I really had a hard time putting it down. It keeps your interest and I know you will love it also. Its a great read less
