review 1: I've always been interested in paranormal novels. This series is by far my favorite, every time I finish a book I just HAD to get my hands on the next one. When I found out about the Wild Powers having to choose whether to join the darkness or Circle Daybreak, I was ecstatic! I love how L.J. Smith adds a little bit of romance in the action with ending the books by the main characters finding their soulmates and falling in love with them, it is just a fantastic twist of action/adventure and romance. These books are marvelously written and I think everyone that are into vampires, shapeshifters, and witchy type books should DEFINITELY read this series. :)

... morend began an new one, because it's so easy to grow attached to L.J. Smith's well developed characters, and I knew that the likelihood of seeing hide or hear of them again was relatively slim, although not unheard of as in the case of James' little cameo in Ash's story. Although most stories were by and by largely unrelated to one another (besides the obvious), some stories, especially later in the series were interwoven in such a way as had me squealing to myself when I saw a connection. These stories were well written and engrossing. The characters were well developed, in a way that felt unforced and natural to the stories progression. L.J. Smith has earned herself an entire shelf on one of my bookcases, and the Night World series is one of my favorite pieces of her work.In this collection, my favorite story was Huntress. This book is well worth a read. less

The book I chose for my book plug is Night World 3. This book is separated into three stories: Huntress, Black Dawn, and Witch light. In Huntress, A vampire girl named Jez searches for one of the four Wild Powers, who together have the ability to save the world from darkness. In the second story, Black Dawn, Maggie gets kidnapped and taken to an ancient Night World kingdom, where she meets a vampire named Delos. Finally, in Witch Light, Keller, a shape shifter, is sent by the Circle Daybreak to protect a Wild Power from those in the Night World who want to destroy them. I would recommend Night World 3 to anyone who likes fantasy or action/adventure books because all three of the stories are full of adventure, romance, and suspense that will have you reading until the last page
