review 1: The first chapter was released for download on her website. Masochist I am not. Enticing as it sounds I can't bring myself to read it and spoil what is a very long, painful dry spell. A game created by the author or her publishers to see whom is the survivor. Obviously, I lost. I already read too much. A beloved character was mentioned and that is enough to send me into a palpitated state. I may go back and read the previous books to fill the dratted hole they created with their machinations.
