review 1: The main mouse--Hildegarde tries to keep the burgeoning parish mouse population from meeting their collective fate through the Great X. We had high hopes for this one, coming off the charming "TumTum and Nutmeg" series. We were disappointed. There were some good moments--the phone book scene was great and had my kids giggling--but mostly we were slogging through it, waiting for the action to start happening. We didn't finish it, though, so maybe it gets better towards the end...?
