review 1: 3.5 stars - continuation of the pursuant of human traffickers. This story is about Alani, former kidnapped victim, and Jackson, mercenary, employee of Alani's brother, Trace. Same storyline - uber alpha male in love witih stubborn, strong-willed, sweet young lady, with some new characters thrown in the mix. As its predecessors, it had hot, sensual, explicit sex, action, gun toting, villian killing; saving and keeping a stray animal; happily ever after - possibly a baby on the way. I wonder if the male model posing on the cover is supposed to be Jackson. If it is, they picked the wrong one. He is not attractive and/or sexy. They did not do Jackson any justice. He sounds more handsome, sexy and hot on the pages of the book than on the cover. Nonetheless, I will be re... moreading the next book.
review 2: I am disappointed with the Alani character. She seems silly and down right stupid at times. After being kidnapped, I would have expected her to learn how to keep herself safe, but she didn't. I don't know if she thinks life is a joke or if she just doesn't care, but it's irritating to read about and makes it difficult to care about her. I have no complaints about Jackson. I'm excited to uncover more of the puzzle in the next book, The Perfect Storm. less
