review 1: 4.5 Stars. ***Series Spoilers***In the Mind of a Dying Man by Lori Otto gives readers a glimpse of Nate Wilson's final thoughts and feelings as he is dying from his injuries of the car accident. This short story should be read after finishing the Emi Lost & Found series. The events of this story take place during the second novel in the series, Time Stands Still, which is told from Emi Hennigan's point of view. I found this to be a very emotional read.
review 2: After reading book 1, I was really interested in knowing Nate's last thoughts as he was dying. Since book 1 ended so suddenly with the accident, I thought this was a good way to link book 1 and 2. Although I didn't like or agree with Nate and Emi as lovers (to me, he just wasn't the one for her), I love... mored their friendship. I was glad to see that he felt her love in his last moments, but it made me even happier that he knew that she would be ok because I think that somehow that meant he knew she would move on and find love with someone else. I thought this short story was very well written and touching. less
