review 1: I first read this when I found it in an anthology in one of my other books. I liked it sooo much that when I heard it had been expanded I had to get it. I loved it in the novella and found it ok as a novel. I have read some of the other reviews from here and other sites. I think people are dwelling to much of the fact that the word "bitch" is used often. Yes, it is used quite a bit. But in this story "bitch" is what is used a a title for female werewolves. When taken in that light to me I don't find it excessive or offensive. This is how this world is in this story. As for the story it's self, for me it is ok. I found the novella much more exciting. I was hoping for greater detail into what was going on. Yes you get why the law was enacted. How everyone reacted. But to me ... moresomething was still missing. The novel ended the same way the novella did. It didn't give me anything more. Which is what I was hoping for. It still left me wanting to know how they immediately worked out everything. A quick epilogy would have at least given me that with out messing with the rest of the series. Yes it gives you that they got the mating/bonding taken care of and that they followed the law. But I wanted to know that they worked out the everyday basics not just the initial mating. I got that from the novella. It left sooo much open without a hint of what was coming. Of what was coming for the sisters, Johann, Grandmother and even a complete ending for this story. I know it is a series and I have checked into it and though some of the secondary characters have books, I wonder with the way this one ended if it will answer questions that I have when this one didn't. Don't know, just not sure. I probably will get at least the next one just to see. The next book will determined whether or not I continue. The story it's self was ok, but it left me wishing it gave more clarity in to some things, characters and an idea of where it was heading. For me something was missing.Maybe if I hadn't read the novella I would be ok with it. I just don't know. It was ok for me. But I will give the next a try.
review 2: It was not one of the better reads. I didn't care for the use of b**ch in the storyline. I get that it's due to the fact it's about wolves but it distracted me from the story. I think I would have preferred the use of wolf instead or anything. I think this is due to the fact that for the most part b*tch has been used as an insult for too long and I could not get past it. I could get into the story when it was not in use but I felt like the story ended to soon and with too much left open. I get there will be another story but for these characters it will be more of a secondary and I'm not really wanting to read the next one with the idea that the wording will be the same and it will be too hard for me to get into the story. less

Read the short story first. Very erotic if you like menage-a-trois action

At least the sex was hot. I thought the ending was abrupt and unfinished.
