review 1: There were many features of The Lens and the Looker that I enjoyed. There is much to be pondered throughout this book; the historical references make it an excellent backdrop for a novel study. Even small details like the first heading entitled “2347 C.E.” make this book relatable to a social studies class. Political debates could be staged using the themes in the book. Is it acceptable for the government to limit population growth? Are human actions accelerating the changes taking place on the earth? review 2: I really enjoyed this book and had to force myself to stop reading for other things. The story is interesting and moves at a great pace. The main characters are lovable and irritating in a way that only teenagers can be. The dialogue did seem somewhat unnatural for teenagers; though some latitude can be granted for their adaptation to the time period. There were also a few overlooked proofreading errors in the Kindle version. Overall, I think this is a wonderful, fun story, and I'm looking forward to continuing the series. less

Good book. It takes place in the future yet the characters are abandoned in the past...
