review 1: Compelling story of a socially awkward young woman who discovers an online forum that leads to a unique job offer: impersonate a woman who intends to kill herself. By keeping up with the deceased's e-mails and Facebook posts her friends and family will be spared the knowledge of her suicide. Told from the impersonator's point of view, we're drawn into her isolated world as lines blur between herself and Tess, the dead woman. A strange and different thriller, fast reading, but lacking the punch in it's ending that I was anticipating.
review 2: This was more like a 4.5, meaning it was really, really good. Props to this author for coming up with a truly original plot! I've stumbled across several female British authors who've blown me away with how well they writ... moree literary suspense, like Erin Kelly and Bianca Zander. I'm happy to add Lottie Moggach to this list. I'll keep coming back to these women, as their suspenseful plots are what I crave and what I need to keep me out of reading funks. less
