review 1: love these books i dont want them to end glad cooper got a book really felt for him when claire dumped him for mason even though i would have chose mase too ;) anyway this is his an kates book she is dealing with guilt off somthing that happened a few years back and dosnt think of love or anything until the football player comes to town they are both drawn to each other but cooper needs to tell her everything about his past and she need to open up and admit what happend an still is such a great book 5* read for me no kink just hot xx
review 2: I really really enjoyed this book. I maybe even loved it and except for a few tiny things it wouldve been perfect. Before i start my normal review though i have to give you a disclaimer for anyone who hasnt read it yet. T
... morehe blurb makes this sound like its going to be a love triangle book...its really not. The love triangle gets resolved in the first like 5 chapters and then is barely discussed the rest of the book so for anyone hoping for that prepare to be disappointed (and no steamy threesomes with two hot guys...le sigh). Still a great read though. So:Heroine: Adored her. While shes not the warrior woman type thats my favorite that was ok because she didnt get a whole lot of chance to be in the setting of this book and she was still quite tough. Even beyond that though shes one of those girls youd just love to hate (because shes gorgeous and talented just all around perfection) but you just cant because shes so dang sweet. And not in a oh dear god that just gave me a cavity way but shes the kind of person who tries to be kind and stay positive (though thankfully shes not naive about it which wouldve ruined it). Hero 1(kinda but not really): total jerkface. I know that seems like an immature insult but he really didnt do anything bad enough to warrant anything stronger but what he did do was juvenile enough to warrant it. did not like him and even if this had turned into a love triangle thing wouldnt have rooted for himHero 2 (the real freaking deal): Holy freaking shit this girls...this is the perfect man. My last read had a hero that was if not already over the line a borderline abuser and this was the perfect palate cleanser. Hes a through and through sweetheart who still has hot sweaty rough sex (but then is adorably contrite about marking her up). Its so cute how even though they just met he takes care of the heroine when shes ill and hes not even like arrogant about it. He has his issues no doubt but theyre all internal and he never lets them hurt her and theyre actually resolved pretty quickly. Most of all i love how he stuck by her side through everything. Dear author, where are these men in real life...and please send me one (ill even pay for shipping and ill be doing all the handling tehe). Highlight though i think had to be when he told the heroine that a woman who respects herself is sexy as hell...*swoon* seriously when do men ever say something like that.Romance: Ill admit im not normally big on love at first sight stories but this one totally got me. I honestly dont think the book wouldve been as good if it hadnt been. I loved though that even though the hero knew she was the one he never pressured her once and the romance ended up being very well developed and paced despite it moving what would be rather quickly in the real world.Sex scene: Mostly hot with the yummy rough sex and steamy adventurous sex. However there were also a couple scenes where the cheese factor was high and i was laughing more than reading. Examples: when his sperm is referred to as "delicious warm liquid" and when he tells her "'Your pussy knows that i was there and itll feel it for the next couple of days but now your heart needs to feel the rest.'" Bahaha ok the second one is kind of sweet but still who says things like that.Plot: Ok once you get past the blurb being completely short sighted it was actually very good. It had a little of everything i was even surprised to have a little dab of thriller in it which i didnt expect. Actually most things about this book were unexpected. I normally dont do a synopsis since the blurb give one but since the blurb is off ill give it a little help here. So heroine had a fiance who killed himself she felt guilty had some issues ended up dropping out of school. Its all good though little big bro gets her a job she actually loves as a PA on his football team (plus hot in shape guys to ogle? sign me up!). At the end of a session with her bros bff he asks her out she say sure (shes seriously repressed by this point). But then later that day she meets the man who is smexy and just..everything. Brief struggle over heroine ensues and better man wins. But wait he has a past that she has to help him overcome! But wait she has a past thats about to rear its ugly head. Then someone is sending sketchy notes and doing everything they can to drive them apart (i wont tell who even though its a pretty easy guess fairly early on). So we have quite a bit of romance and a bit of action. I personally wouldve liked the villain reveal to be more of a surprise but i dont see how that couldve worked so ill forgive it. Overall though really enjoyable and i read it incredibly fast (totally couldnt put it down)Writing: overall very good however there were a few places where the sentences were poorly constructed and made little sense.Bottom line: Fantastic read and i highly recommend it. It really didnt have that it factor that made me think itll be a reread but i will definitely be checking out more by this author! less
