review 1: This book is not a light read, but overall an enjoyable one.The book intertwines present-day murders with past events in Italy during WWII. The book also looks at love, betrayal, bravery, and the difficult choices people were forced to make during the Nazi occupation of Europe.I enjoyed the complexity of the characters and the plot. I will be looking for other books by this author.
review 2: This is more than a "summer read" as the book description says. I really enjoyed the story and the writing style of this writer. I will look for other books by her.Florence, 1943. Two sisters find themselves surrounded by terror and death and trapped by Nazi occupat
