review 1: I really really enjoyed reading it. Something in the book I related to her as being an actress and a waitress full-time. If this has happened to me, I would do exactly the same thing. I non-stop read the book for 3 hours yesterday and just finished earlier this evening. I just love the story of how it all came about and loved the happy ending which shred my happy tear in the end. Recommended to anyone. I'm definitely going to read the sequel over Christmas as the next beach cafe novel takes place over Christmas but it's a very short book so I'm going to save it until then.
review 2: This is my first Lucy Diamond’s book. I chose it among the other, because it has a cookery theme (I always love read a cookery theme book but not always love practicing it :D... more). Surely, not only the cake and the pastys that made me love this book, but Evie warm-heart that is. Though she’s said as the blackhseep of the family, in my opinion maybe it’s not the suitable mark for her, she’s kind, loving and caring person. Maybe it’s just that she’s the last child after two elder sisters that are high achiever, made her looks like an under-achiever child. But Evie is no under-achiever at all, she just hasn’t find her path and her time to shine. I love reading about Evie’s journey through this book, to find what her heart really love to do , so she can do it whole-heartedly and that will make it success. The other character is well written too. I love Phoebe and Ambar, and Anna too who makes fabulous cakes. Look forward to reading another Lucy Diamond’s book ;) less
