review 1: I really enjoyed French Milk, so when I saw this new Lucy Knisley book on netgalley I decided to snatch it up, and I'm so glad that I did--I liked it even better! Knisley uses her considerable cartooning talent to compile a graphic novel full of family, food, and even some recipes. Her stories and childhood memories are undeniably linked to food, and her passion for cooking and eating shines through in each frame.
review 2: Really enjoyed this graphic novel about growing up with good food. As a somewhat follower of food blogs, I've noticed the trend in food photography - I love that Lucy Knisley did this book about food in this style. She showed us the food as part of the story, using her own artistic skills. Loved her relationships with friends and family, a... morend her recipes too. I'm now determined to try my hand at sushi! less
