review 1: This was a really good read, and helped me to understand the importance of having God at the centre of your life and decisions, no matter what amazing things you may acomplish. The main reason why I didn't give it 5 out of 5 stars is because it did jump around a bit more than I would have liked, with the narrator's grandmother's life taking up more than half the book. This meant that the ending and explanation about the narrator felt a little rushed while the first half felt dragged out longer than it could've been. But this is a small issue, and on the whole, this book made a good and wholesome read. :) Well worth your time, and you will want to finish it right to the end! :)
review 2: I really enjoyed the story line in this book. It gave me some good food for
... more thought in regards to what unconditional love might look like in working clothes: Like when your husband is an alcoholic. Or your mother-in-law hates you (and bonus, you live with her!). Or your child chooses to pursue a lifestyle that you don't approve of. I loved one of the main characters, Bebe, and her growth throughout the story. I know the book is fiction, but her example makes me want to be a better person! less

Not really my type of read, and a very different writing style for Lynn Austin. I liked the ending.
