review 1: 3.5 stars -- it was interesting to have a heroine who felt unwanted not b/c of her looks, but b/c her upbringing all led to one event and when that didn't happen...well, she was kind of lost. It was different, I enjoyed it. Anna and Leo were an interesting pair, such opposites and yet with chemistry. I didn't always follow along with all their interactions and conflict...couldn't figure out how Leo could be such a jerk sometimes. I guess their motivations weren't always clear. So I enjoyed it, but not as much as I thought I would...
review 2: I liked it to some extent, and it kept my attention all the way to the end of the book. I just didn't give it 5 stars for 2 reasons: nothing exceedingly original about the plot and it had your typical heroine who's a... more virgin until the "right" man comes along. I'm so bored with the romance novels constantly focusing on heroines as virgins as their starting point in novels. These days, I'm more interested in reading about more "experienced" heroines because THEY are more interesting. less
