review 1: MICHELLE T.'S REVIEW - After reading the blurb for Weak For Him by Lyra Parish, I was immediately intrigued and just knew that I had to read this book. Who doesn’t have aspirations of capturing the heart of a hot and alluring sex mogul anyway? It was definitely the rollercoaster of suspense I was hoping for and the premise was completely unique and original, unfortunately it wasn’t the emotional rollercoaster I was anticipating.The events of this book left me reeling but for all the drama I wasn’t left with much of an emotional connection and not for lack of opportunity. The sexual tension was palpable but when there could have been a great deal of significant torment that comes from denying feelings and the inevitability of having to see each other with other peop... morele, it was skimmed over for the most part and seemed to be lacking any depth to latch onto and really feel. The storyline was intense and the potential for some serious emotion was there it just wasn’t really explored or delved into.What I found hard to swallow with this book was that a 22 year old virgin seemingly flips a switch from waiting for marriage to lose her virginity to selling it and becoming a high priced call girl. And although the chemistry between Jennifer and Finnley is electric, all her morals and reservations seem to fly right out the window when it comes to him as early as their very first meeting and definitely during training.Despite these things, I did really love the innovative concept, the direction the story has taken, and the steam factor was off the charts. Left with plenty of questions and all sorts of possibilities for the future, I look forward to experiencing more of the ride in the second book, Weak Without Him, and finding out where it leads.
