review 1: I really liked Asylum, so I was really looking forward to Sanctum. Was it as good as the first one? No, but it was a really solid sequel. I love how she uses the pictures in her story--although I found the pictures creepier in Asylum than Sanctum. The plot was not as solid as I would have liked. Although it is a fast read and one you can't put down, really nothing much happens until the climax, 12 pages before the end of the book. I think part of why I can't give five stars is because the climax is so short. It definitely reads as a sequel--the characters are not as defined because most of that groundwork was lain in asylum. I'm assuming there will be more in the series. She left it open to continue if she wanted. Should she decide to, I will definitely be rea... moreding.
review 2: I enjoyed this book as much as the first. While I figured out who it was that was responsible for all of the mayhem pretty early on, I certainly found the ride thrilling. Dan was slightly annoying with his inability to imagine what was happening to him,and the naivete of some of the kids choices was beyond belief. It is really the mood and the implications of the story that keep you reading. Like Asylum, I just couldn't stop reading. I do hope there will be a third as I feel there are too many unanswered questions. less

3 stars for the effort of creepiness and horror that oozed from the pages.

Not as good as Asylum, I wanted more creepy and less college life.
