The Rarest Blooms
review 1: Another good story in the Rarest Bloom series. This is the story of Celia and Jonathan. She the daughter of a famous courtesan he the illegitimate son of an earl. She was supposed to follow in her mothers footsteps she had been trained to take her mothers place. That was five years ago she ran away so should not have to live that life. Now her mother has died and she has come to London to settle the estate and her life takes on a brand new twist.
review 2: Madeline Hunter has again written a fun book about second chances. The protagonist in this story suffers from stigma simply because she is the daughter of courtesan, or in other words, a prostitute. I also liked how the book focused more on how Celia was strong instead of whining about how her life has been
... moreruined by her heritage. A part that really had me emotional was the part where Celia realized that her mother had loved her no matter what. This serves to show that occupation really does not determine who a person is or was. I really enjoyed this book, it was definitely different from some other books I read where the female protagonist relies on others to bring her back onto her feet. less
