review 1: Soul mate by Madeline Sheehan this author has slowly crept into my heart and has embedded herself. I actually fell in love with the Undeniable series I think she has a real knack for telling a heart gripping love story with grit and angst along with hardship then ends in a somewhat realistic fashion. To me these stories feel more believable and real since they are not normal fairy tale. The Holy Trinity series was a recommendation and I figure why not.....I literally could not put this book down literally finished it in less than a day. The story is centered around the is young girl who essentially loses everything and everyone in her life in one day when vampirish zombie take over in a apocalyptic event in which she barely escapes thanks to one beautiful Magical Roman S... morecandinavian Gypsy, Gerik. He brings her to his camp where he and his clan give her a refugee which slowly becomes a home to her. In her time with them her relationship with Gerik has this natural pull that she doesn't quite understand she is almost needs him to breathe however she befriends Xan which she slowly find herself falling for. The two love interest are vastly different like light and dark. The story slowly becomes this love triangle that seems to be a fight against free will and what nature intends for her soul. The magical pull and the logical choice. I think it is very moving in the sense that I think there are many people who deal with this and it has to hit home maybe not in the fanatical way the story is told but in the basics...sometimes what is good for us is not always what is right for us...or what we feel doesn’t completely agree with our head. I love the love story that shows that sometimes love is not always that easy. I recommend anyone giving this book a shot I think you would be surprised how it can pull you in.
review 2: I just blew through this in about 51/2 hours! All I can say is wow...I am a zombie lover, and thought it would be another run of the mill z story, so to find out they are like vamp cannibals (is there such a thing?) was a little weird, but that's cool. To say nothing of the soul mate triangle would be a travesty, and I normally don't like them much, but this one worked, for the most part. I understand where Trinity is coming from, feeling like all Gerik wanted her for was to feel "better" (for lack of a better term). This was my first book my Ms. Sheehan, but it will not be my last, I guarantee that! less
