review 1: This was a good second in the portal series. But I really hate storylines where the heroine is knocked up and the hero decides he loves her and the child and wants to be a good daddy. Espeically since she got knocked up after eight weeks of dating and then took off.... That was more unrealistic then the magic.But since Ms. Shayne is a Wiccan High Priestess in real life the magic and myhtology and witchcraft was all superb, the characters were flushed out and great.I read this fast and very much enjoyed myself.So tech 3.5 stars
review 2: I started out not really caring for this book. It was really easy to get into, but I hated the fact it did not include the others from the first book. Well at least that is what I thought. She intertwines things so meticulous... morely it draws you in and makes you become intertwined in the minds of the characters. Lena the witch in this story is Magdelena who is pregnant with her loves child that she leaves, all which is on the back of the book. But the things and reasoning you come to find out are all part of their past lives. It is a beautifully written story, that took me from being upset and not knowing what happened to Indy to love Lena just as much as I love Indy. Hoping now that they will find the love they need to complete their tasks. It is a must read, really it is. If not just for the story but for the majick that Shayne imbeds into her beautiful stories. less
