review 1: No matter how many times I revisit this story... I always end up crying. Madoka is such an intricate story - there are layers upon layers waiting to be peeled and going through it again always makes me want to think and write thousands of words on the characters, the complexity of the story, how things manage to link into each other and no matter how these girls try to do good, it almost always backfires in the end because the universe needs balance. The concept of hope and despair and its continuous way of feeding into each other is really interesting. Even the ending is not truly an ending and gives the impression that this is a cycle that no one, no matter how powerful, can break. And that's kind of scary.
review 2: Gleich am Anfang muss ich etwas klar stell... moreen: Lasst euch ja nicht vom Cover und der Inhaltsangabe täuschen! Der Manga ist nicht so süß und niedlich, wie er auf den ersten Blick wirkt, sondern wird mit voranschreitender Geschichte immer düsterer und trauriger. Es kommt auch schonmal vor, dass Köpfe rollen.Der Zeichenstil gefällt mir sehr gut, da er klar und sehr detailliert ist. Bei den Kampfszenen ist es mir aber öfter etwas schwer gefallen zu erkennen, was genau dargestellt ist.Kyubey, das kleine Katzenwesen, war teilweise echt psycho, was ich am Anfang überhaupt nicht erwartet habe, da er sooo süß war. Die Magical Girls mochte ich alle gerne, jedoch ist die Charakterentwicklung bei den meisten von ihnen leider etwas auf der Strecke geblieben.Der letzte Band war manchmal echt verwirrend, da ich nicht mitbekommen habe, dass es zwischendurch immer Rückblenden gab. Obwohl ich das Meiste am Ende verstanden habe, weiß ich immer noch nicht, warum Mami nochmal aufgetaucht ist. Vielleicht werde ich aufgeklärt, wenn ich mir den Anime anschaue.Die Geschichte schreitet rasend schnell voran, was mir wie gesagt im dritten Band einige Problemchen bereitet hat. Ich hätte mir noch ein paar mehr Bände gewünscht. Durch das Tempo der Handlung wird auch sehr viel Spannung aufgebaut. Die Chliffhanger am Ende der Bände sind ziemlich schlimm. Kauft euch also lieber alle Bände auf einmal ;)Alles in allem ist es eine super Manga-Reihe, die ich jedem empfehlen kann, der Urban-Fantasy mag. less
