review 1: I have been a fan of Mandy Baggot for a couple of years and have many of her books on my Kindle just waiting to be read. After reading the synopsis for Made in Nashville, it was quickly pushed to the head of the list. I was hooked after the first chapter and had a hard time putting it down when life seemed to get in the way. It's okay to forget to feed your kids, right?? Just kidding!(maybe...) As I read Made in Nashville I felt as if I was watching a really good television drama and the visions were perfect in my mind. While I'm a more traditional country music fan, I found myself head over heels for Jed Marshall. He's a wild alpha male who loves his family and a true southern gentleman with a few rough edges. Honor, a quiet, more conservative country music artist, ... morewas a perfect balance for this bad boy. Their relationship was hot and sweet from the beginning and it only grew as the story progressed. The angst was light, their relationship was mature, and their struggles were real. I felt Honor's transformation was quick, but it worked well in the story. My only complaint is that the name Vince Gill was a little over used. It was funny in the beginning, but the joke went a little stale. Steamy-ness is hot, with one very tasteful scene.
review 2: I got this book Made in Nashville as an ARC for an honest review. I totally loved it. Mandy does it again seems like she can write anything to any kind of story. The main characters are Honor Blackwood former country music star because of something that happened in the past but then she meets the other main character whom is a country rock'in music star, rough around the edges, tough, sexy and admired by many, also top on the record charts. When they meet Jared or Jed is instantly taken by Honor he see's something in her that nobody see's anymore although she is not fond of his ways so it takes time for him to get into her life and find out how to help her get past her past and begin to live her dream again. Of course there are ups and downs and some rough patches along the way but can Jared sweeten up some to get into Honor's life and will both their lives change around especially when the past creeps up again with gifts coming from some anonymous person to Honor and Jed's major secret comes out from the past. Loved all the country music mentions throughout the story also loved how Mandy keeps the reader in suspense throughout. Was very hard to put this book down like all Mandy's books. If I could give it more then a five star well then I would. So pick up the book and find out what Made in Nashville is all about and how it all turns out. Thanks Mandy for the book for an honest review. Also, there is a complete list of Country music songs & artists mentioned in the book:) Also, just want to add that you don't have to be a country music lover to love this book Mandy always does amazing work with her books. You will fall in love with this book & the characters. Although I got it as an ARC for an honest review I still would have bought it cause love Mandy's amazing writing. less
