review 1: I was unable to finish this book...it just failed to grab my attention. The first part of the book when Mitchell's encounter with his straight roommate introduced the true plot of the book...lube...was interesting and not so bad. But as the book went forward and Mitchell set out to market his new "lube"...the story just got boring and I just could not force myself to finish. I think that this is the first time that has actually happened to me. Just wasn't my cup of tea and the title is a bit misleading...some may enjoy it, me not so much!
review 2: I’m really not sure what the point of this was. The only reasonable explanation I can come up with for Straight Roommate to be published is the teaser chapters of Slick Competition which didn’t tease me into purc... morehasing that novella at all. They just did the exact opposite. It’s very clear that one of my biggest pet peeves in the romance genre – namely the Big Misunderstanding will dominate that story, so thanks but no thanks. As for Straight Roommate…I don’t know what I can say about it as the blurb tells everything you should know about the story. Really, there’s nothing more to it. less
