review 1: Ooooo kayyyyy. I get that this is a quick preq and so nothing and no one is fleshed out very much, and I am okay with that when the preq serves a purpose, in this case it was supposed to serve the purpose of giving answers to Eric's last night alive and explain a little of the problems their kind faces. I must assume that the theme of his death runs through the others attempts to mate. BUT, it really didn't do much. Sure, it made the point that he wasn't a rapist, but it was just a 'fuck' feast in the literal and the actual word. It appeared in the first and third sentences if that is any indication. I get erotica, and I get prequals being what they are. But this isn't going to really add anything to the rest in my opinion.
review 2: This was a very good introd
... moreuction to the Woods Family series. In book 1, you read about Eric dying, but without the details. This gives you the details behind what happened to him, who the woman was and how they got into the predicament that led to their deaths, and an intro to book 1 as well. Surprisingly, it made sense...where book 1 made me think things happened too fast, this book story line made more sense in that the relationship did not happen fast, and as a result of a misunderstanding, resulted in Eric claiming Simone. I will say that the "relationship" between Alex, Eric, and Simone is not one I am familiar with, but not necessarily impossible. How any man could share his wife sexually with another man is beyond me. Apparently, it was for them too. less
